Sales Administrator (1205) HQ Personnel

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of our clients in the York area as a Sales Administrator on a full-time permanent basis. The purpose of this role is to provide efficient sales support to the internal and external sales teams whilst processing customer quotations and converting to orders.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer support through responding to customer sales queries by phone and email
  • Seek clarification of customer requirements e.g. application, specification and timescale
  • Log enquiries onto the sales system
  • Collect and assess information including costing proposals
  • Prepare and issue technical specifications, proposals and quotations
  • Improve quote to purchase order conversion rate by following up issued quotations
  • Enter accurate data into the system
  • General admin duties as required

Person Specification:

  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Customer facing experience
  • Experience of working in a sales environment
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft packages and data entry
  • Team player, enthusiastic and motivated
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Experience of using professional social media is desirable but not essential

The working hours for this role are 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday. In return for this our client is offering a salary of £18,000 – £20,000 and the benefits of working for this company include 23 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with length of service) and a pension scheme. Our client is offering part-time working from home options after the initial 2-3 month training programme.
