Purchasing Assistant
An opportunity has arisen to join one of our clients in the Harrogate area as a Purchasing Assistant. The purpose of this role if to assist in the purchasing process and stock control system, ensuring effective communication to maintain standards.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the purchasing process
- Assist in maintaining up to date stock information
- Liaise with departments on delivery and product information
- Assist in negotiating prices and deals
- Source new products and suppliers
- Raise purchase orders
- Assist in marketing projects
- Supplier relationship management
- Respond to and resolve any issues
- Reports analysis and maintain accurate records
- Achieve and maintain ISO 9000 accreditation
Person Specification:
- Proven experience in administration
- Experience in customer service
- Minimum GCSE qualifications
- Knowledge of purchasing systems and Sage 200 is desirable
- Negotiation skills are essential
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
This role is Monday – Friday and in return for this our client is offering a salary of £16,000-£18,000.
