Job Title: Junior Key Account Manager – France


France including but not limited to Infant Independent retailers, Food, Drug & Mass retailers and distributors throughout France.

Position Summary:

To grow a portfolio of several French accounts in line with the company Corporate Compass Goals. The role requires the shaping of collaborative relationships with French majors where open dialogue creates an environment for growth centered business plans.

Due to the nature of multi-channel retailing it is important to recognise that within each account there are multiple touch points across Buying, Merchandising, E-Teams, Marketing.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • With alignment from the International Sales Director, execute expansion of distribution within the territory
  • Identify and establish key customer relationships in the territory
  • Maintain and increase the sales volume of existing accounts within territory
  • Solicit orders from both existing and target accounts within territory
  • Establish new channels of distribution within territory
  • Execute merchandising and marketing plans
  • Develop and maintain customer forecasts
  • Write Contact Reports for all face to face meetings and where appropriate key phone/zoom meetings within maximum two working days
  • Attend and participate in Sales meetings, training programs, and Industry and customer specific trade shows
  • Provide quality information to customers on new and current products, order status, and pricing, as well as implementing new company policy or item changes
  • Become knowledgeable of competitive products and environment
  • Communicate daily and work closely with all company functional groups such as Customer Service, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Accounting

•           Minimum 3 years successful work experience

•           Demonstrate ability to deliver compelling sales presentations

•           Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English are mandatory - other languages beneficial

•           High energy, detail focused, action-oriented contributor.  Must be self motivated and detail oriented to direct own work

•           Capable of preparing accurate analyses, sales reports

•           Strong computer skills required with proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

•           Team player able to establish effective working relationships with European head office

•           French Business School /University degree required

•           Up to 40% plus travel – includes overnight stays and some weekends as needed.

In return for this the client is offering a salary of £30,000.
