Finance Assistant/Purchase Ledger HQ Personnel

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join one of our prestigious clients in the Harrogate area as a Finance Assistant/Purchase Ledger. This role is available on a full-time permanent or part-time temporary basis.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Match and code invoices
  • Manage supplier invoices, ensure reconciliation with purchase orders and delivery notes
  • Distribute supplier invoices for internal authorisation
  • Ensure CRM system is up to date
  • Answer supplier and customer phone queries
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Process BACS payments through internet banking
  • Assist in the preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Processing and administration of internal expense claims

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience of working within a finance department
  • AAT qualified or working towards would be desirable
  • Customer focused with excellent communication skills
  • Organised and methodical
  • Intermediate level Excel would be advantageous, together with previous experience of accounting software
  • Enthusiastic and keen to learn

The working hours for this role are Monday – Friday 8:30am-5pm. In return for this our client is offering a salary of £22,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.
