Customer Service/Planning Assistant (1206) HQ Personnel

An opportunity has arisen to join of our clients in the York area as a Customer Service/Planning Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be the main point of contact and required to update and advise customers proactively on the status of their orders, while maintaining internal visual management systems in order to effectively communicate customer needs to the wider business.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Champion the voice of the customer
  • Identify and assess customer needs to ensure they are fully satisfied
  • Ensure customer enquiries are investigated and resolved quickly
  • Provide both routine and proactive customer updates
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records on the CRM system
  • Host and support customer conference calls
  • Update and maintain customer and production planning boards
  • Attend daily production meetings to discuss the flow of orders through the supply chain

Person Specification:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage your own workload
  • Team player

This role is working 8:30am-4:30pm Monday – Friday and our client is offering a salary of £18,000. You will receive 23 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service) and a pension scheme. Our client is offering part-time working from home options after the initial 2-3 month training programme.
