On the move!!
The HQ team are delighted to announce that they are merging both of their Wetherby and Harrogate offices and moving to larger premises on Victoria Avenue in Harrogate. We now have the opportunity to have all of our consultants and administration staff under the one roof. This was not an option before as our offices in Harrogate were not big enough to accommodate our Wetherby team. Our new offices have the benefit of a large open plan office for our consultants, a separate open plan office to house our admin staff but in addition also has separate interview rooms. We are hoping to move in by the beginning of May and will be holding an open evening for our clients and candidates. Pictures of our new home will follow in our on line photo gallery so watch out for them.

New appointment to the HQ team!
We are delighted to announce that Cheryl Deeming has joined the HQ team as our Office Administrator. Cheryl will be responsible for running our busy weekly payroll for our temporary staff, but will also support our busy consultants on a daily basis. Cheryl has a wealth of administration experience and will be a valuable asset to the HQ team. We will be adding Cheryl to our staff profiles over the coming weeks so you can read all about her. National Minimum Wage increase!
With effect from 1 October 2009, the national minimum wage adult rate paid to workers aged 22 and over will rise from its current level of £5.73 per hour to £5.80 per hour. Also, the national minimum wage development rate for workers aged 18 to 21 will rise from £4.77 per hour to £4.83 per hour and the national minimum wage youth rate for workers aged 16 and 17 will rise from £3.53 per hour to £3.57 per hour.The national minimum wage adult rate will also be extended to cover 21 year old workers.

HQ TEAM GAIN INVESTORS IN PEOPLE ACCREDITATION!
The team at HQ Personnel are delighted to announce that they have been successful in gaining the Investors in People accreditation. All staff were interviewed and the assessor recognised that all of the HQ staff have a great feeling of equality, support and freedom to act and make decisions, which in turn creates a culture where staff are empowered. HQ was described as a dynamic and thriving business, where all staff are recognised and rewarded for their contributions, with excellent communication channels which celebrate achievements and successes. The assessor commented that any visitor to the company would be impressed by the sense of passion, teamwork, communication and unquestioned commitment the HQ team have to providing a superior level of service. MD Sarah Pullan comments "We are absolutely thrilled to have achieved the Investors in People accreditation, and will put the full report onto our website so that candidates and clients can see what a fantastic team and organisation we have here at HQ.
