Anyone in the position of seeking a new job will be familiar with the current lack of vacancies, not to mention how hot the competition is for everything out there. Nevertheless, I took a deep breath and threw away any personal trepidation as I e-mailed a copy of my CV to HQ personnel.
It must have been my lucky day when I was invited to have a chat with Louise about moving jobs. Little did I know at the time, but I was in for a master class in how to market a candidate (me in this case), I was armed with plenty of interview tips and a good background brief on everything that followed which was a good confidence builder (and follow it did). Four days and six interviews later I had a new job, which I am very excited about.
My tip to anyone reading this and thinking of getting in touch with HQ personnel
HQ personnel are not just about getting people jobs; they are passionate about customer service and this means matching the right candidate with the right opportunity because that is the only way it works for everyone.
Thanks again Louise.
