Our client, a well established and growing business based in Knaresborough, is looking to recruit a professional and proactive Internal Sales Professional to join their team on a temporary to permanent full-time basis. This is a great opportunity for someone keen on advancing their career in sales and growing within a nurturing company.

Whilst working for a minimum of 12 weeks on a temporary basis, the duties of the role will include contacting customers on the internal database to locate the main decision maker, carrying out administrative tasks and making appointments.

Once the role becomes permanent, you will become an essential member of a small team, selling market leading software, training and system integration solutions to manufacturing and process industries within the UK.

Duties will include:

* Pro-actively developing business opportunities into the manufacturing market place

* Speaking with prospective clients to develop and introduce the company’s products and services to develop relationships and win new business

* Using the company’s sales database, the position will involve the qualification of organisations currently using existing software products to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

* Developing your own call brief in order to gain prospect's interest in the company's products and services.

* General sales co-ordination tasks including liaising with existing clients to organize engineering visits to site, co-ordinating training courses, processing purchase orders and providing direct sales support to the sales director.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is keen to learn and drive sales. This person must be conscientious and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and ambitiously but must also be a good team player. You must have a confident and professional telephone manner and have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish a rapport.

This opportune role is a good step on the ladder to gaining a permanent sales position with a competitive salary of up to 18K plus bonus. Strong career prospects exist for a successful dedicated professional with progression to a field sales role.

Normal working hours will be 8.45am until 5.30pm with a 45 minute break for lunch.
