019 - Technical Sales Executive

Our client, based in Knaresborough, are looking to recruit a Technical Sales Executive to further strengthen their successful team. The role will include new business and account management and generating sales of power supplies and related products to customers within a specific geographical area of the UK. The ideal candidate will be a confident, self-motivated individual, capable of working both on their own and as part of a team.

Skills required:

*  A proven record in new business generation

*  Ability to research, generate and arrange appointments with new business prospects.

*  Ability to account manage and help develop new markets and opportunities

*  Proven ability to achieve target sales and ensure that the company’s profit requirements are met

*  Confidence in preparing quotes and present solutions to new and existing customers at all levels

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

*  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*  Excellent face to face and telephone/email communication skills

*  Ability to communicate to all levels within a business

*  Highly developed negotiating and influencing skills

*  Strong commercial acumen with a professional approach

*  Competitive nature, results orientated and target driven

*  Effective time management skills and proven to be punctual and reliable

*  Ability to learn and retain high levels of industry and product information

Product/market knowledge required:

*  The candidate will ideally posses industrial, medical, measurement and instrumentation market knowledge.

*  Product knowledge of AC/DC External/internal Power Supplies and Chargers, DC-DC Modules, Open Frame Units, Batteries and Cable Assemblies is also desirable.

The candidate must have a full and clean driving license and own their own car which must be insured for business use. The client is offering a salary of 28k depending on experience.
