 Our client, based in Knaresborough, are looking to recruit a Claims Deputy Manager to join their team to support the Claims Manager in all aspects of claim assessment and settlemet.

The main duties and responsibilities will include:

* Dealing with customer enquiries and complaints.

* To answer contact from members of all products dealing with all claims matters and assess claims for all products.

* To be back-up for complaint handling

* Deal with customers who want someone “senior” to look at their claim.

* Ensure all claims work is completed to agreed standards of accuracy and timeliness

* Pay claims and answer phones

* Process claims in accordance with agreed practices

* Advise enquirers/members on benefits, underwriting, transfer terms, levels of cover, renewal terms

* Highlight any problem or potential complaint matters to Claims Manager

* Deal with all telephone calls received

* Process claim form requests promptly

* Provide timely accurate advice to members anticipating potential problems

* Other office duties as required

 

Job Knowledge 

  • Understand the complete claims process.
  • Learn details of all products, including cover, eligibility, subscription rates and rules of membership.
  • Learn details of organisation and departmental functions.
  • Function of membership records system on iSeries.
  • How to issue claim forms
  • Claims Processing
  • FSA Rules on complaints.
  • Market awareness for all products

The normal working week will be Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. You must be computer literate and have a confident phone manner.
